Calendar

See a project's tasks laid out by date in TaskView. Month, week and list views show deadlines and workload at a glance, colored by priority, on desktop and mobile.

The calendar shows a project's tasks on the days they are scheduled. It answers questions a list can't answer quickly: what's due this week, which days are overloaded, and what's coming up next.

Opening the calendar

Select a project in the sidebar, then click Calendar. On mobile, open the menu and tap Calendar.

Which tasks appear

A task appears on the calendar when it has a start date, an end date, or both:

  • Start and end date - the task spans every day in between
  • Only one date - the task appears on that day
  • A time - the time is shown on the task card, in your local time zone

Tasks without dates don't appear. To place a task on the calendar, open it and set a start or end date.

Views

  • Month - the whole month at a glance. Days with more tasks than fit show a "+N more" link.
  • Week - one column per day, with every task listed as a card. Best for planning the week. This is the default view on desktop. Saturday and Sunday shrink to a narrow column when nothing is scheduled on them.
  • List - the week's tasks grouped by day. This is the default view on mobile.

Use Today and the arrows to move between periods. The selected view and period are kept in the page address, so a reload or a shared link opens the same place.

Click a day number to jump to that week in the list view.

Reading a task card

  • Color - the task's priority: red for high, amber for medium, green for low
  • Avatars - who the task is assigned to
  • Subtask count - shown when the task has subtasks
  • Strikethrough - the task is complete

Click a card to open the task details. Changes you make there show up on the calendar right away.

Permissions

The calendar follows the project's existing permissions: you only see tasks you're allowed to see, and priority colors and assignees only appear if your role can view them.
